Fast Five: ABBY

How did you meet and what’s the story behind your band name?

We met while we were all studying together. The band name ‘ABBY’ is the name of a girl called Abby, she’s our everyday inspiration and all of our songs are like little episodes of her life.

How would you describe your music?

It’s pop music made out of classical, technoid and hearty elements.

What have you been up to so far and what can we expect over the coming months?

We have been in and out of hospitals and recordings and live-shows, now it’s time to release our very first album ‘Friends & Enemies’ in June 2013.

If you could duet with anybody who would it be and why?

Damn it, it’s of course Bear Grylls – you’ll be safe with him wherever you’re recording and he’ll find you food and give you some useful advice on how to survive over the next couple of days.

What’s your desert island disc and why would you take this one album?

Would be ‘Wa-Do-Dem’ by Eek-A-Mouse. As soon as you put this one on there is nothing to worry about on the whole desert island.
