Fast Five: Cub Scouts

How did you meet and what’s the story behind your band name?

Sam, Zoe, Andy and I all went to the same school. We all knew Dan through school friends.

Sam came up with ‘Cub Scouts’ – I think it may have been inspired by everyone always telling us we look like babies.

How would you describe your music?

We have been told we play indie pop, so that’s how we describe it…

What have you been up to so far and what can we expect over the coming months?

We’ve spent the last year touring and recording! We released our debut EP in October. In the next few months we’re playing Woodford Folk Festival and Falls Festival (Lorne). We might have some new music on the way too!

If you could duet with anybody who would it be and why?

Kimbra seems like a good pick for duets.

What’s your desert island disc and why would you take this one album?

The Xx’s first album. I’ve listened to it so many times and I never get tired of it!
