Fast Five: Effie

When did you begin making music, and did you ever ponder a different career?

I first starting writing around the age of 8/9. I would write poems and then starting writing songs after seeing “Bills Bills Bills” by Destiny’s Child on MTV.

I don’t think I ever did really especially after I had started to get in the studio at 15 that was kind of it for me.

How would you describe your music?

I’d say it’s honest soulful music with a bit of edge .

What have you been up to so far and what can we expect over the coming months?

I’ve just been working on my sound in sessions writing and then also writing with and for other people which is cool.

Over the next couple months I’ll release the new EP “Could You Be” and I’ve already started on the next one!

If you could duet with anybody who would it be and why?

I think I’d like to duet with Amy Winehouse just because I’ve learned so much from her as a vocalist.

What’s your desert island disc and why would you take this one album?
