When did you begin making music, and did you ever ponder a different career?
I began making music as a teenager ten years ago with Esprit D’Air. It was a band at the time, but we had a bit of a false start between 2010-2013, and just released a couple of EPs and two singles. I took a break and restarted it as a solo project in 2016, we have released an album, and around eight singles since. I wouldn’t want to do anything else but to create the music I love.
How would you describe your music?
It is a difficult one. The music I make can be quite heavy instrumentally, but it has a very melodic approach to its vocals. I always try to push to create something really unique, and try not to follow generic songwriting conventions.
What have you been up to so far and what can we expect over the coming months?
I have just released my new single, “Leviathan”, and released a brand new video, which is a sci-fi retelling of a classic Greek myth, set in a cyberpunk world. The video premiered on Loudwire, and I am now working on finishing my new album, “Oceans”, which will be released in 2021.
If you could duet with anybody who would it be and why?
It wouldn’t happen, but Oli Sykes from Bring Me The Horizon would be cool!
What’s your desert island disc and why would you take this one album?
Hybrid Theory by Linkin Park. That album released 20 years ago was so ahead of its time, and it still holds up.
