How did you meet and what’s the story behind your band name?
We’ve known each other for over 10 years already but before I Wear* Experiment we’d never created any music together. Few years ago we were touring with another Estonian artist Iiris and at one point we realized that the three of us have very much in common and we tolerate each other well.
For us the name defines our attitude towards creating music- we like to experiment with different sounds and genres and the ultimate goal is to write world class songs.
How would you describe your music?
Our music is something you can dance to in underground parties and sing along in big arena concerts.
What have you been up to so far and what can we expect over the coming months?
We just finished our album, toured with the British act Hurts, received the award for the biggest international breaktrough potential act at Tallinn Music Week and now we are planning some festival dates for the summer and a bigger European tour in autumn.
If you could duet with anybody who would it be and why?
With Son Lux or Miike Snow- Ryan Lott’s and Andrew Wyatt’s voice would fit well with Johanna and their approach towards music is something we really admire
What’s your desert island disc and why would you take this one album?
Deftones – Deftones – it would help us overcome all the problems we’d have to face while being deserted.
