When did you begin making music, and did you ever ponder a different career?
I started with piano lessons at 5/6 years old (then guitar at 9 and cello at 11). I was quite young when I decided that music is my life – I’ve never considered any other career!
How would you describe your music?
Retro-alt-rock.
What have you been up to so far and what can we expect over the coming months?
I have a new EP titled ‘Sanguine On the Rocks’ coming next week (29th April)! After that, shows, festivals and more releases – I’m hoping for at least two more releases by the end of this year.
If you could duet with anybody who would it be and why?
Anybody dead or alive? It’s a close call between John Lennon and Miles Davis. I think playing with Miles would be more interesting and it would be fascinating to see his compositional processes first hand (ever seen that video of Lennon and Davis playing basketball? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bqxiy6y8_SY).
What’s your desert island disc and why would you take this one album?
Abbey Road. They were all on top form on this album and it is one of the few records that I can honestly say I love every song (even “Octopus’ Garden”!).
