When did you begin making music, and did you ever ponder a different career?

I’m a solo artist and my band name is just my real name! I once thought about going under a different name, but it wouldn’t reflect the music I make – it’s homegrown, real and true to me.

How would you describe your music?

It’s organic and homegrown. My music is a mix of different influences, I take inspiration from lots of my favourite artists, so there are country, folk and americana influences in a lot of the music I make.

What have you been up to so far and what can we expect over the coming months?

Over the past couple of years I’ve been working on my debut album which is almost ready to be released! I’ve been working hard with some amazing producers and writers who’ve helped to create something I’m so incredibly proud of and can’t wait to release. My new single “From Me To You” which is a completely new arrangement of the Beatles classic will be released on 27th November 2015 and was one of 3 tracks recorded at the prestigious Angel Studios in London accompanied by a 22-piece orchestra!

If you could duet with anybody who would it be and why?

My top collaboration would be Sir Paul McCartney, I’m a HUGE fan of The Beatles and have been ever since I can remember and he’s one of my favourite people on the planet. I’d also love to duet with Carole King too, she’s a huge influence on my music. I’d also love to duet with Chris Martin from Coldplay, they’re one of my all-time favourite bands too!

What’s your desert island disc and why would you take this one album?

There are so many albums I love, this is so hard! I’d probably take “Out Of Nothing” by Embrace because it’s probably the most nostalgic album for me. It always reminds me of car rides with my parents, we’d all sing along together. That and it’s also an incredible album by an incredible band.
