Fast Five: King & Queen of Sorry

How did you meet and what’s the story behind your and name?

Rhod: We met in our home town & became friends due to our mutual love of 80’s hair metal. We’re called King & Queen Of Sorry because we both apologise way too often to each other!

Kathryn: We met in our home town of Abergavenny in South Wales while both trying to make names for ourselves in different bands. (Though I do love 80’s hair metal too). I agree with Rhod on the reason behind our band name.

How would you describe your music?

Rhod: Progressive acoustic music

Kathryn: (Almost) Acoustic folk/pop with a twist of Americana

What have you been up to so far and what can we expect over the coming months?

Rhod: We released a 4 track E.P. Step Off The Ledge in June 2012, a single, One More Time October 2012 and a recent single Queen Of Sorry in the week leading up to Christmas 2012.

Kathryn: I agree with Rhod’s summary

If you could duet with anybody who would it be and why?

Rhod: Kathryn because her voice is unique.

Kathryn: Stevie Nicks – she has an amazing voice and a wonderful stage presence.

What’s your desert island disc and why would you take this one album?

Rhod: Guns n Roses, Appetite For Destruction – because it’s the best rock album ever.

Kathryn: Fleetwood Mac – Rumours – because it transports me somewhere else when I listen to it. (Possibly back home again from my desert island)
