Fast Five: Mark Mathews

When did you begin making music, and did you ever ponder a different career?

I began making music when I was 15 and although have dabbled in other jobs (Cough – Porn Editor!), never pondered another career.

How would you describe your music?

My music can be described as Paul McCartney and Noel Gallagher playing twister on the lawn of Bob Dylan’s house, whilst Noddy Holder makes them all tea and sandwiches.

What have you been up to so far and what can we expect over the coming months?

I returned from playing abroad to jump straight into touring the UK and recording new material. I’ve got music videos, documentaries, tons more gigs and new music all to come before the year is out!

If you could duet with anybody who would it be and why?

I would duet with Paul McCartney because he is soon to kick the bucket, so he has to be top of the list before I miss out.

What’s your desert island disc and why would you take this one album?

The White Album. Not because it is my favourite Beatles album, or my favourite album of all time. But it is a double album and so in this scenario I would have more songs to listen to.
