Fast Five: Mo Kenney

When did you begin making music, and did you ever ponder a different career?

I started writing songs around age 15, but I’d decided I wanted to be a musician at 11 when I started guitar lessons. As soon as a picked up the guitar I wanted to be a musician, I’ve never really considered anything else.

How would you describe your music?

What have you been up to so far and what can we expect over the coming months?

I’ve been touring since my first record came out in Sept. of 2012. Currently working on album number 2.

If you could duet with anybody who would it be and why?

Sharon Van Etten. She’s awesome and I think our voices would mix well.

Whats your desert island disc and why would you take this one album?

Right now it’d have to be John Grant’s Queen of Denmark. I am currently obsessed.
