How did you meet and whatʼs the story behind your band name?
K.I.: Well, me and Deee are brothers. We met Mr. Hernandez at Concrete Jungle, a skate shop that he owned. We later needed a drummer and added Matty Mayz to the team. We analyzed our music and noticed how we mixed genres that usually don’t mix. Bam, the Oxymorrons popped up!
How would you describe your music?
We would have to say alternative hip hop or klasher music. Our music is like putting your iPod on shuffle and just enjoying the day.
What have you been up to so far and what can we expect over the coming months?
We have been working on music and doing a lot of videos so you guys can have plethora of things to enjoy. You can expect a lot of content and shows over the coming months.
If you could duet with anybody who would it be and why?
That is so hard for us to pick because we love so many different artists, but I guess we would love to do a duet with the Gorillaz or Kanye West. A song with all three of us would be an ear orgasm!
Whatʼs your desert island disc and why would you take this one album?
Mr Hernandez: Mine would have to be Biggieʼs double LP, it’s interesting and it comes with two CDs!
K.I.: I think I would go with N.E.R.D “Fly or Die”, this album has so many different mind states. If I wanna go hunting and rage out there’s a song for that or if I wanna just day dream and look at the sky, there’s a song for that too!
Matty Mayz: Probably “Off The Wall” by Micheal Jackson. If I’m alone on a desert island I need to keep my spirits up and work on my dance moves in my spare time.
DEEE: I would burn a mix CD of my favorite songs and artists. It would consist of Queen, Billy Joel, Kanye West, NERD, Lupe, Andre3000, Paramore, Green Day. Coldplay, Gym Class Heroes, Joe Budden, Etta James, Kid Cudi, Lauryn Hill and Johnny Coltrane. I would have to make a mix because I couldn’t go one with just one sound.
