How did you meet and what’s the story behind your band name?

Jon and me are best pals who, both being musicians, decided it was silly that we weren’t playing music together. We met at The Sebright Arms in London. Our other bands (Lola Colt and The Lost Souls Club) were playing a show together and we bonded over our mutual loves of Nick Cave and countdown’s Rachel Riley (the thinking-man’s crumpet). The origin of our band name is a closely kept secret…

How would you describe your music?

Ennio Morricone rock n roll!! Music for cowboys. We wanted to create something bold and cinematic. Think BRMC creating a Spaghetti Western soundtrack with Ray Manzarek on keys and Kills-esque dual vocals.

What have you been up to so far and what can we expect over the coming months?

We’ve just finished and self-released our debut EP The Good Fight. We’re giving it away as it was a project we started simply because we love writing, recording and playing music. Its free to download at saintagnes.bandcamp.com. We’re planning on rehearsing up our live set over the summer ready to start gigging relentlessly in London in the Autumn.

If you could duet with anybody who would it be and why?

Jack White would be so cool. He’s a master of reinvention and you know whatever he does next is going to be great.

What’s your desert island disc and why would you take this one album?

Fleetwood Mac – Rumours. An incredible album, everytime we listen we exclaim over the brilliance of something different on it. The Chain is a mind blowing song.
