When did you begin making music, and did you ever ponder a different career?
I’ve been playing the guitar since I was around 10 years old and was obsessed with Oasis and Nirvana. I used to play football and wanted to be a goalkeeper, but was not tall enough and let in five goals in my first game … all I ever wanted to do since then was make music.
How would you describe your music?
I make a lot of music and from composing for Tv and film trailers I’ve covered countless genres and have released a couple of orchestral albums, but my roots are in the acoustic guitar and writing simple songs with thoughtful lyrics.
What have you been up to so far and what can we expect over the coming months?
‘Scroll Until I Die’ is the first singer-songwriter song I’ve released in 7 years, I have a few more to come with videos that will be released every couple of months over the next year.
If you could duet with anybody who would it be and why?
I’m not really that interested in dueting with anyone, I’ve always preferred working on my own … it would be interesting to see if I could work with a clone of myself in the studio to see if two of me would agree with or kill each other. The way things are going with technology maybe one day I’ll be able to find out.
What’s your desert island disc and why would you take this one album?
Probably ‘Revolver’ by The Beatles, it’s so diverse and full of ideas, I don’t think I could ever get bored of that album, it’s so good!
