Fast Five: Strange Bones

Carrie Humphries

Triangle

When did you begin making music, and did you ever ponder a different career?

It all started when I was eleven. My dad put a guitar round my neck and we were off. I’ve never pondered another career… I’ve spent a long time skint, but nothing will stop me!

How would you describe your music?

Raucous, energetic, riffy, fuzzy, punk rock and roll?… Who knows?

What have you been up to so far and what can we expect over the coming months?

With Strange Bones, we have released our debut single and two B sides and played a bunch of shows. Over the next few months we will unleash some more tracks that we are recording with someone special; but I can’t reveal anymore than that at the minute… Watch this space!

If you could duet with anybody who would it be and why?

Iggy Pop or Jack White, because they are wild.

What’s your desert island disc and why would you take this one album?

Too Much Pressure by The Selecter. I like this because I could skank around and keep happy, and it’s a favourite of mine.
