How did you meet and what’s the story behind your band name?
Richard and Sean met back at school and formed the band when they returned from India. Harvey, a long lost family friend of Seans then came into the fold after a freak meeting and bonding session in France. Later Tom and Richard met at a gig and. after a few name changes over beers in the pub, came up with The Red Lapels
How would you describe your music?
A modern take on vintage rock n’ roll.
What have you been up to so far and what can we expect over the coming months?
We played the London circuit for a couple of years, played a wide variety of venues and festivals. Most recently the Great Escape festival 2013 in Brighton. Debut single It Aint Easy being released on vinyl and iTunes download on the 17th June. Official video below.
If you could duet with anybody who would it be and why?
Happy Mondays, I doubt the duet would be memorable but the after party would be!
What’s your desert island disc and why would you take this one album?
Probably Kings Of Leon, youth and Young Manhood. Well, providing there’s a record player on this desert island!
