Fast Five: Wild Combination

How did you meet and what’s the story behind your band name?

We named ourselves after an Arthur Russel song. Dan (guitar) and Terry (drums) are childhood friends from Basildon. Love (bassist) met Terry in a club and offered him a lift home not knowing he was a drummer and so here we are…

How would you describe your music?

Energetic with big chorus’. Others have said Dream Pop.

What have you been up to so far and what can we expect over the coming months?

Our debut EP ‘Pulses’ drops in August and we have festivals throughout the summer. We’ve already demoed 10 songs and will record them all this summer.

If you could duet with anybody who would it be and why?

Less of a duet, but more a chance to learn from some producers/artists we love – working with M83’s Anthony Gonzales and his synths would be great, as would James Murphy and his synths. If you got a synth, get in touch!

What’s your desert island disc and why would you take this one album?

Radiohead – In Rainbows. It’s a classic.
