Kings Place Festival 2011

Nichola Eastwood

Triangle

One hundred performances, four days and tickets for just £4.50 – welcome to this years Kings Place Festival!  Taking place from the 8th – 11th September and with many events free, this is the ultimate festival experience on a budget!

With performances ranging from Jazz to Classical to Folk and Comedy there’s something for everyone.  For the more sophisticated and cultured among us, sit back and enjoy the sounds of Mozart, cleverly combined with puppets to keep the little ones happy.  Immerse yourself in performances from world class soloists and pianists, including the likes of Ivana Gavric, William Howard and Martino Tirimo.  They’ll be delighting your ears with renditions ranging from Bach to Debussy.

Robert Mitchell, Burton Bradstock and John Etheridge are just a small taster of the Jazz infused delights the four days has to offer, whilst Ravers can grab their glowsticks and savour the electronic dance of Sabrepulse, Shiribon and Henry Homesweet.  If all that music’s too much for you, escape for a couple of laughs with the likes of John Hegley and Father Ted’s Ardal O’Hanlon.

So what are you waiting for?  This purse friendly festival promises to be one of the highlights of the year!  Miss it and regret it.
