Lil Phat Shot and Killed

American rapper Lil Phat died on Thursday due to being shot several times. Lil Phat aka Melvin Vernel III died later in hospital. He was 19.

Winehouse Monument

A monument to the late singer Amy Winehouse may be erected in London. The statue would be situated in the London music venue, the Roundhouse.

Bob Welch: 31st August 1945 – 7th June 2012

Bob Welch, the former guitarist with Fleetwood Mac has committed suicide. He was found by his wife and police who came to the scene also found a suicide note. Tributes have poured in from music fans and musicians alike including former Fleetwood Mac frontman.

Lauryn Hill Headed for Jail?

Lauryn Hill could serve time in jail for tax evasion. The Fugees singer has apparently failed to pay taxes from 2005 to 2007.

Slipknot Festival

Slipknot are currently in talks to host their own festival ‘Knotfest’. It will be a two day event hosted in America for metal bands.

Sheryl Crow Diagnosed with Brain Tumour

Cancer surviver Sheryl Crow has recently been diagnosed as having a brain tumour. The singer has revealed that the tumour is benign.
