Details of a new Bob Dylan album have been released. It will be the 35th studio album from the folk favourite. The album has been recorded at Jackson Browne’s Los Angeles studio.
Girls Aloud have plans to reunite and tour in 2013. The band was created on TV talent show Popstars: The Rivals and will reform for their tenth anniversary.
Guitarist Ronnie Montrose died 3rd of March. It is believed that his long battle with prostate cancer is the cause of death. Over the years of his career he worked with many artists including Van Morrison and Sammy Hagar. He was 64.
Jimmy Ellis, lead singer of The Trammps has passed away. His daughter has revealed the cause of death was comlications due to Alzeimher’s Disease. He was 74.
Etta James is to be inducted into the Apollo Theatre’s Hall of Fame. The soul singer died earlier this year aged 73. Lionel Richie will also be honoured at the event.
Alex James, Blurs bassist has confirmed that the band has big plans for their reunion tour but has lain to rest rumours of a new album. James has said that a new track will be revealed on tour.
Deceased singer Michael Jackson has reportedly had his back catalogue of music stolen. Among the stolen music was the unreleased recordings that Jackson performed with Queen frontman Freddie Mercury and Will.i.am. Two men have been charged with the theft proving that they are not Smooth Criminals.
Lady Gaga hit a Twitter milestone this week as she reached two million followers. The American singer has the most followers on the social networking site.
Florence + the Machine are set to release a live album as part of the MTV Unplugged franchise. The performance was recorded in New York last year and is set for release later this year. The set includes a cover version of Otis Redding’s Try A Little Tenderness.
Cheryl Cole has reportedly teamed up with Lana Del Rey to write a track for the Girls Aloud singer’s third album. Lana Del Rey is set to produce the recording.
Jarvis Cocker has been given a half an hour program on Radio 4. It has been described by Jarvis Cocker as “nocturnal exploration of the human condition”.
Beck, James Murphy and Devendra Banhart have recorded I Only Have Eyes For You for a new art installation in America. The song will accompany the work of Doug Aitkin in a museum in Washington, DC.
Katy Perry is set to release a 3D concert movie. The concert movie will be featuring her California Dreams tour. The movie will be called Katy Perry: Part of Me.
The Raconteurs are set to release a DVD of their performance at the 2008 Jazz Festival. The DVD will be called Live at Montreux.
Melvin Benn, the organiser of Reading and Leeds Festival has promised a free beer and burger for weekend ticket holders for this year’s event. This year’s line-up will be revealed later this evening (March 12th).
