Drug Charges for Tulisa

Tulisa Constostavlo has been charged of supplying class A drugs. Whilst the crime doesn’t solely fall upon her she is being charged as one of the participants of the crime. Te trial has been set for July 14th 2014 and Costostavlos is entering with a plea of Not Guilty.

Release Date for Gordon’s Book

Kim Gordon, formerly of Sonic Youth, will release her book Is It My Body?: Selected Texts this month.

Nadine Coyle Engaged

Nadine Coyle, one fifth of Girls Aloud, has announced her engagement to boyfriend Jason Bell. The pair are currently expecting the imminent arrival of a baby girl.

Alt-J Lose Gwil Sainsbury

Gwil Sainsbury of award winning band Alt-J has quit the band. The reasons behind the departure have been cited as a “personal decision” on Sainsbury’s part. The future of Alt-J is currently uncertain.

Album News

Elbow’s new album will be released in March. The sixth album will be called The Take Off and Landing of Everything.

The Hold Steady will be releasing a new album. Teeth Dreams will be the bands sixth studio album and their first album release in four years.

Grimes has revealed that her new album will be released in September. This will be the singers first sine the release of Visions in 2012.

Festival News

Sound City Speakers Announced

It was announced this week that John Cale and Thurston Moore will both give keynote speeches at Liverpool’s Sound City. This year’s festival line up just got serious.

Coachella Line Up Announced

The headliners for the San Diego festival Coachella have been announced. Arcade Fire and Muse will take two of the headlining slots. The third will be taken by Outkast who are reuniting for the festival. Motörhead will also play.

It has been revealed that Brian Wilson will headline 2014’s Hop Farm Festival. Tickets go on sale on February 1st.
