Sonic Youth’s Moore and Gordon Split

After 27 years of being married Sonic Youth’s Thurston Moore and Kim Gordon have decided to separate. The news comes just days after the announcement of a new album release. There are no plans for Sonic Youth to split, and as of yet the band fully intend to stick to commitments of their forthcoming North America tour however after this the band have made no further plans. More news as it comes in.

Sarah Harding Enters Rehab

Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding has entered into rehab for treatment associated with Alcohol abuse and Depression. The news of this comes a few weeks after her break up with Tom Crane.

Deluxe Release From Moby

Moby will release a deluxe edition of his latest album Destroyed on October 31st. The 3 disc set will include live footage videos and of course the songs from the album.

X Factor Contestants New Single For Charity

All sixteen X Factor contestants who made it to the live shows will release a charity single later this year. They have recorded Wishing On A Star, a song made famous by Rose Royce and all the proceeds from the single will go to ACT and Children’s Hospices UK. You can download the single on November 20th and you can purchase a physical copy the following day.

Paul McCartney marries Nancy Shevell

Paul McCarney has married his girlfriend of four years, Nancy Shevell. The couple began dating in 2007 and tied this knot this weekend in London, both wearing clothes designed by The Beatles daughter Stella McCartney. Congratulations to the happy couple.

Mikey Welsh: 20th April 1971 – 8th October 2011

Mikey Welsh has passed away aged 40. The former bassist with Weezer played with the band from 1998 – 2001

Manic Street Preachers

Along with the release of their new single This Is The Day, the soon to be released greatest hits album National Treasures and their one off show later this year Manic Street Preachers have also announced a biography of their music. Rhianna Breaks Records

Rhianna has scored a musical coup. The RnB singer has had 6 number 1’s in five consecutive years which has not been done by any other female solo artist. Her current single We Found Love was released October 4th and features Calvin Harris. You can check Rhianna out on her Loud tour which is currently in full swing across the UK.
