Peace One Day Concert

September 21st will see the Razorlight, Eliza Doolittle and Flawless take to the stage in London’s o2 Arena for Peace Day.  They will be performing alongside other artists to start the countdown for Global Peace Day which will take place one year later.  Tickets are still available so why not head along and take a look.

Performers Copyright Laws Extended

This week saw the EU Council of Ministers extend copyright laws from 50 to 70 years.  This is a coup for veteran performers who will still earn royalty rights on their music.

A Very She And Him Christmas

She And Him, duo M Ward and actress Zooey Deschanel have announced the release of a new Christmas album A Very She And Him Christmas.  The album will be released in November and contains 12 best loved festive songs.  Included in this list is Baby, It’s Cold Outside which Deschanel has performed before in Christmas movie Elf.

Amy Winehouse News

This week would have seen Amy Winehouse turn 28.  Since the singers death in July actions have been taken to sustain her memory.  These include the launch of the Amy Winehouse Foundation, t-shirts have been designed to commemorate the singer with the proceeds of sales being donated to the foundation and also this week sees a posthumous single released.  Winehouse performed with veteran performer Tony Bennett, the single Body and Soul is available to download now.  If you would like to purchase a commemorative t-shirt then please visit – www.moretvicar.com.
