No not the band The Police, the Metropolitan Black Police Association. They are hosting a concert on the 19th October to help promote awareness to their anti-knife crime campaign. The event will be held at the Royal Festival Hall and will feature a mixture of artists. Show your support by getting yourself a ticket.
Motown soul singer Frank Wilson has passed away aged 71. Wilson only ever released one single but was revered as a soul legend.
Madonna has reportedly held out the olive branch to Lady Gaga and asked her to join her on stage. Lady Gaga has refused citing work commitments. We have to ask the question was this a ploy on Madonna’s half to make herself appear more genial than the Bad Romance singer? Crooner Andy Williams, best known for singing Moon River has lost his battle with cancer of the bladder. He was 84.
The band has laughed (TFA) off reports that they have split up. They have plans for a second album but they are just taking some time off.
Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong has entered rehab; early reports indicate that it is due to a substance abuse problem.
