Guns N Roses are set to reunite in their original form for their indoctrination into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They will be honoured in April. No details have been given as to whether they will perform at the ceremony however they will reunite to receive the award.
Sony Music have been left hanging their head in shame as it has transpired that in light of Whitney Houston’s death and subsequent rise in the charts the music conglomerate increased the cost of her albums. The move to increase the download price from £4.99 to £7.99 has left MP’s, musicians and twitter users complaining about their shrewd financial move. Sony later issued the following statement after amending the price back to £4.99 – Whitney Houston product was mistakenly mispriced on the UK iTunes store on Sunday. When discovered, the mistake was immediately corrected. We apologise for any offence caused.”

Joy Williams, singer with Civil Wars has announced her pregnancy. The band is set to tour the UK next month but so far we have received no news of her pregnancy disrupting her live performances.

This year will see the first album from UK group Dexy’s Midnight Runners for nearly three decades. The new album One Day I’m Going To Soar will be the first release since Don’t Stand Me Down which was released 27 years ago in 1985.
Along with her impressive wins at this year’s Grammy’s, Adele has another milestone to be happy about. Her album 21 has made it to 20 weeks in the American Billboard Charts. It has been the first time an album has reached 20 weeks since Whitney Houston’s soundtrack to The Bodyguard.
The funeral of pop legend Whitney Houston became a televised event this weekend as the singer was laid to rest in her home town. Houston’s funeral took place in New Jersey. Kevin Costner, her co-star in the 1991 movie The Bodyguard spoke at the funeral. Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder were set to perform at the funeral however Franklin had to cancel due to bad health.

The new single from Paul Weller That Dangerous Age is set for release March 5th. Arctic Monkey’s drummer Matt Helders and Ladytron both feature on the single, offering remixes of the track.
