Dropkick Murphy’s Charitable Donation

The Dropkick Murphys have raised nearly $100,000 for the victims of bombing in Boston last week. They raised the money by selling a tribute T-shirt. Local Boston bands have also put together a compilation CD with the profits from sales going to the victims.

Sum 41 Drummer Quits

Steve Jocz, the drummer with Sum 41 has quit the band. Jocz has issued the following statement about his departure: “I’m sorry to announce that I’ve decided to leave Sum 41.Touring with the band has been an amazing experience that has taken us far beyond our old practice space in my parent’s basement to countless countries around the world. I’ve had the opportunity to see and experience so much and for that I am truly grateful. I just want to thank all of our fans for making the last 17 years possible. I had a blast. Thanks again, Stevo.”

Scott Miller: 4th April 1960 – 15th April 2013

Scott Miller, the singer and guitarist with bands Game Theory and Loud Family has passed away. He was 53. No information has been given about the cause of death.

Daniel Blumberg Leaves Yuck

Yuck front man Daniel Blumberg has quit the band. The band will be continuing without Blumberg who has left to concentrate on other ventures.
