Album News

Example has released details of his new album; the twelve song album will be called The Evolution of Man and can also be purchased in deluxe form with five bonus songs.

A four disc special edition Amy Winehouse album is to be released. The album will be called Amy Winehouse At The BBC and will be the second posthumous release from the Rehab singer. It will be released November 12th.

The Blackout have named their new album; it will be called Start The Party and it will be released in January.

My Chemical Romance will release new album Conventional Weapons on October 30th.

The Lemonheads are reissuing their first three albums. The release date for Hate Your Friends, Creator and Lick has not been announced yet.

Destiny’s Child are set to release a greatest hits album called Playlist.

The Beach Boys will release a new album next year. The band are currently touring.

Crystal Castles are releasing their new album earlier than expected. They plan to have it released in November whilst they will be on tour.

Primal Scream are planning to release a new album in 2013. It will be the bands 10th album.

Baby News

Robbie Williams and his wife Ayda Field welcomed a little girl into their family this week; they called her Theodora Rose.

Meanwhile, singer Shakira has announced that she and her boyfriend Spanish Football player Gerard Pique are pregnant with their first child.

Fiona Apple Arrested

Singer Fiona Apple was arrested this week for possession of marijuana. Apple spent the night in jail before the $10,000 bail money was paid.

Pussy Riot Drama Continues

A priest who argued for the rights of the incarcerated members of the band Pussy Riot has been extricated from his role within the church by the clergy. Deacon Sergei Baranov supports the bands and indeed every person’s right to have free speech.

In other Pussy Riot news, the members of the band have been awarded the John Lennon peace award by Yoko Ono.


The Sexy and I Know It Singers have called it a day. Redfoo has issued the following statement:

“I feel like we’ve been doing this for so long, five or six years. And we’re kind of like saying, well, let’s just do what’s natural and just kind of explore that, instead of like forcing it all the time. I think that we naturally just started hanging with two different sets of people, two different crowds, but we’re always family. He’ll always be my nephew, I’ll always be his uncle.”

Rammstein are due for Download

It has been announced that rock band Rammstein will be headlining Download Festival in 2013. Tickets for the festival go on sale this week.
