Mark David Chapman’s recent plea for parole has been denied. Chapman was sent to prison for the murder of John Lennon in December 1980.
Stevie Wonder is among some of the stars honoured at this year’s ASCAP awards. Awards have also been issued to Billie Joe Armstrong and Stephen Sondheim.
A man has been shot and killed at a gig in California. He was shot in a Wiz Khalifa gig. Police are currently looking for the murderer and are appealing for witnesses.
Stuart David, the former bassist with Belle and Sebastian is penning a book about his time in the band. It will be released in February 2015.
Paramore’s set at this year’s Reading festival was marred with electrical problems. The audience had to wait for 15 minutes whilst engineers tried to fix the sound problem.
