Coldplay Announce Sabbatical

Coldplay have announced a sabbatical. The announcement was made during their gig in Brisbane, Australia. According to frontman Chris Martin the band will not be playing any big shows for the next three years. Bad times.

Fairytale of New York for Christmas Number One?

The Pogues Christmas classic Fairytale of New York is being released and is in the race for Christmas number one. The song which featured the late Kirsty MacColl was originally released in 1987 and is being reissued to celebrate the 25th anniversary of its original release.

Kravitz to play Gaye

Lenny Kravitz will play the part of Marvin Gaye in a new biopic that is being directed by Julien Temple, the director behind The Great Rock and Roll Swindle.
