Parole Denied for Rioter

Maria Alyokhina, one of the three incarcerated members of Russian music group Pussy Riot has been denied parole. Earlier this week Alyokhina staged a hunger strike in protest to her incarceration.

Pop Trio Sell Beer

90s band of brothers Hanson have released their own brand of beer in America. The new drink is a tragic pun of their hit song Mmmbop; the drink is called Mmmhops.

Baby News

JLS’s Marvin Humes and The Saturday’s Rochelle Wiseman have welcomed a baby girl to their family. The couple named their daughter Alaia-Mai. In other baby news, DJ Annie Mac and her DJ boyfriend Toddla T have welcomed a baby boy to their family. Details of the baby’s name have yet to be revealed.

Two New Music Shows

Channel 4 are set to add two new music programmes to their schedule. One will be a music quiz show hosted by Nick Grimshaw and the other will be a live performance show hosted by Rizzle Kicks.

Album News

Christopher Lee will release a heavy metal album on his 91st birthday. The album is called Charlemagne: The Omens of Death and it will be released this week.

X Factor News

Tulisa has quit the X Factor as one quarter of the judges. She is being replaced by the previous judge Sharon Osbourne.

Trevor Bolder: 1951 – 2013

David Bowie’s bass player Trevor Bolder has passed away aged 62. He lost his battle with cancer. Bolder has also played with bands Uriah Heap and Wishbone Ash.

Ray Manzarek: 1939 – 2013

Original member of The Doors Ray Mazarek has lost his battle with cancer. He was 74.

Beyonce Isn’t Pregnant

Jay-Z has kaiboshed the rumours that Beyonce is pregnant.
