X Factor runner-ups JLS have announced this week that they are set to disband after a farewell tour. The band have issued a statement to their fans about the details of their impending disbandment:
“We are currently in the studio working on what will be our last album – ‘Goodbye: The Greatest Hits’. We will be bringing you a new single later in the year to coincide with the album and the tour. Goodbye: The Greatest Hits Tour will be the last time that we will perform together as a four and we want to make sure that this tour is the best ever and that we end on a high! We will always remain brothers and friends and we will always be your boys.”
Robert Todd Harrell, the bassist in American rock band 3 Doors Down has entered rehab this week after being arrested following a fatal crash which has left a 47 year old man dead. Harrell was under the influence of alcohol and prescription drugs when the crash took place.
Lauren Hill has managed to avoid a prison sentence for unpaid taxes. The singer has just signed a $1 Million record deal which will go some way to paying off her debts which she needed to start paying by May 6th.
Another Level’s Dane Bowers was arrested on assault charges after being involved in a brawl that took place in a holiday camp in Bognor Regis.
Profits from the recent increase in sales of Neil Diamond’s classic track Sweet Caroline are being donated to the victims of Boston’s recent bomb attack at the marathon event. Sweet Caroline is a firm favourite among sporting fans of the Boston Red Sox.

Legendary country singer George Jones has died. He was 81 years old. Jones was treated in hospital last week for a fever and blood pressure issues. Tributes have poured in from celebrity fans and friends. Dolly Parton has wrote on her Facebook page: “My heart is absolutely broken. George Jones was my all time favorite singer and one of my favorite people in the world. My heart goes out to Nancy and the rest of his family.”
