Metallica have launched their own record label called Blackened Recordings. The band plan to release all of their own future recordings with the label; this will give them more control and rights to their music.
New music station Bloodstock Radio launched this week. The station will be playing predominantly rock music. Check it out online at www.bloodstockradio.com.
John Probyn has been honoured with a Lifetime Achievement award given by the UK Festival Awards. The award was given due to his continuous great work and effort organising and working within the festival sector.
The Documentary Pussy Riot – A Punk Prayer is to be premiered at 2013s Sundance Film Festival. The film will centre round the incarcerated band.
The first acts for 2013s Leeds and Reading Festival have been announced. Alt-J, Boy Better Know and Deftones will perform. The festival will take place during August’s bank holiday weekend.
