Jack White to Release Solo Album

Jack White has announced details to release his debut solo album. The album Blunderbuss will be available in April. Jack is taking time out from his other projects The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather to release the album.

Don Cornelius: 27th September 1936 – 1st February 2012

Legendary producer of Soul Train died this week. The cause of death has been rumoured to be suicide. Cornelius’ legacy lies in the creation of TV music programme Soul Train which helped black culture and music to be accessible on a mass level.

Amy Winehouse Coroner Resigns

The coroner involved in the inquest behind the death of Amy Winehouse has quit the case after her qualifications came under question. This may mean that the case is re-opened. It is not the ability of coroner Suzanne Greenway that has come under scrutiny but her apparent lack of license to perform the role.

Olympic Band Line-Up Gets Bigger

The 2012 Olympic celebrations are looking to become a musical event this year. Stars are lining up to take part. Jessie J and Ed Sheeran are amongst the latest to announce they will perform. Tinie Tempah, Lana Del Rey and Jack White have also confirmed they will play the event that will take place in London this year.
