Matt Berry and the Public’s Christmas Single

Matt Berry, Absolute Radio’s DJ has embarked on a challenge to release a Christmas single featuring himself and members of the public. The aim of the single – besides to spread festive joy – is to raise money for the charity Shelter. You can watch a demo of the video for A Christmas Song that Matt Berry has done at www.absoluteradio.co.uk, the concept behind the song being that people panic shop during the last few days before the 25th December. Berry is now looking for members of the public to elaborate on the track with vocal and or instruments (anything at all is welcome). You can download an instrumental version at the aforementioned website. Entries must be made by the 14th November as the expected iTunes release date is December 4th. Berry himself said about the challenge, “Christmas is about being inclusive, sharing and selfless, much like this song. My aim is to release a Christmas single that a whole bunch of people, young and old, can say they were a part of. Please show your support for the project and for Shelter and let’s do something original.”
