London based Splashh are this year’s new musical antidote to the British summer. No matter the weather, Sasha Carlson (lead singer), Jacob Moore (drums), Toto Vivian (guitar) and Tom Beale (bass) will whisk you away to nostalgic memories of teenage summers in the 90s with their infectious grunge-pop songs. Formed in early 2012, the four-piece already have an impressive amount of experience to their name, having already released three singles in their first year as a band, along with supporting the greats that are Primal Scream and Spector.
This band’s songs are underlined with reverb and fuzzy guitars, encouraging many reviewers to herald them as the new grunge revivalists. Their music is euphoric and uplifting, especially evident in new single Sun Kissed Bliss’ which is currently available as a free download, and has been receiving lots of support from the likes of NME and Radio 1.
They’ve spent the last few months working on their debut album, Comfort, which is due out the beginning of June. To support the release, they are also heading out on their first UK headline tour in June so even if the typical British weather has kicked in, these boys are bound to bring you a little sunshine.
