Preview: Cambridge Folk Festival 2013 – More Acts Announced

Cambridge Folk festival have announced the latest wave of names. This includes The Waterboys, with their hugely influential blend of Celtic folk, gospel, country and rock, English folk legends Martin Carthy & Dave Swarbrick and US singer-songwriter and Band of Joy member Patty Griffin. Elsewhere, State Of The Union comprising of Americana stalwart Brooks Williams and esteemed British singer-songwriter Boo Hewerdine return after last year’s stint in the Den.

With the showcases, Den line up and more major names still to be announced, Cambridge once again looks set to bring the best names in folk to Cherry Hinton, which means all we need now is for the sun to shine.
