Still reeling from the awesome acts that played last year’s event such as Jake Bugg, Michael Kiwanuka, Professor Green and Django Django to name but a very few, Liverpool Sound City 2013 is expected to be even bigger and better. This week, the organisers behind Liverpool Sound City announced more acts that are set to play the festival and already it seems like LSC2013 is going to be amazing.

So far the line-up is promising something special; showcasing established bands such as Noah & The Whale, Dexys and Everything Everything, alongside the up and coming Savages, Stealing Sheep and The 1975. As ever the line up is eclectic and engaging with attendee sure to find something to suit their tastes.

The festival has previously been described at the UKs version of SXSW and has earned that title through the calibre of artists that it has playing and also with the professionalism that comes along with the conference, whereby music professionals hold discussion groups regarding the industry.

Since its inception in 2008 the festival has developed across the world now being held in New York, Tromso and Dubai. This year also saw the festival win the Insiders Traders Award. It is not said lightly when it is referred to as one of the best festivals that the UK has to offer.

The artists and bands will perform in over 300 venues throughout Liverpool’s city centre; taking place May 2nd – May 4th. Tickets currently cost £55 for the three day wrist band which will get you into the Expo and any gig or film screening, however you can get a full delegate pass for £120 which will also gain you access into the parties and conference.
