Reading & Leeds Festival have announced the lineup for the BBC Introducing Stage 2016 and it looks set to showcase some of the finest new talents in the UK music scene.
This year, the stage will be headlined by the hotly tipped alt-rockers Coquin Migale, Hull-based Britpop act Fronteers and garage rock band Superglu.
A host of other bands will also be joining them over the course of the three days. Friday at Reading and Saturday at Leeds sees artists such as Beau, Muncie Girls, Paris Youth Foundation and Airways taking to the stage; while artists such as Ten Tonnes, The Shimmer Band, High Tyde and The Tin Pigeons are playing at Reading on Saturday and Leeds on Sunday. Also performing on the stage over the course of the weekend are K.O.G & The Zongo Brigade, Lawrence Taylor, Tusk and Mowbeck who will be making appearances on Sunday at Reading and Friday at Leeds.
Those who are at Leeds Festival early on the Thursday are also in for a treat, with renowned Leeds-based label Dance To The Radio taking over for the evening. They will kick off the festival in style with acts such as psychedelic rockers The Wytches, Brighton alt-rock duo Blood Red Shoes, FREAK, Blackwaters and Forever Cult all taking turns on the BBC Introducing stage.
In previous years, BBC Introducing at Reading and Leeds has proved an excellent platform for up and coming acts and has even hosted festival debuts from now famous faces including Catfish and The Bottlemen, Jack Garratt, Two Door Cinema Club, Don Broco and Jake Bugg; so it is the perfect place to hang out if you want to see the next big thing in music.
