You know you’ve made it when not only have you managed to sustain a career lasting more than 20 years, but you’ve got your very own folk festival. That’s the reality for Kate Rusby, whose Underneath The Stars Festival will be taking place in South Yorkshire from 24th-26th July.

Not content with the challenge of merely putting on a festival it’s a pretty stellar lineup, with Mary Chapin Carpenter set to headline the Saturday night. There are also folk stalwarts such as Eddi Reader, Martin Simpson and Bruce Molsky performing across the 3 day event, which is being run in conjunction with Cannon Hall Open Farm. Elsewhere, local boys Hope & Social will be bringing their brand of communal music in trademark blazers to Sunday afternoon along with a wide range of upcoming talent which this year includes the ever-rising Keston Cobblers Club.

Besides the music there’s a giant planetarium, funfair, storytelling and creative kids tent to keep you fully entertained.
